First of all you must have a dedicated ip address on your server.

Then you have to activate your new ssl certificate (Follow this steps)

You will be asked for CSR Code (Here you find how to generate it - You will have 2 files generated example.key and example.csr - we will need example.key shortly)

Configure your ssl certificate in your ubuntu server:

Download your ssl certificate files from ssls.com (You will find in the zip file: www.example.com.ca-bundle, www.example.com.crt, www.example.com.p7b).

Copy ww.example.com.ca-bundle and www.example.com.crt into /etc/ssl/certs/.

Copy example.key into /etc/ssl/private/.

Enable mod_ssl for Apache: sudo a2enmod ssl

Edit the file: /etc/apache2/site-availables/default-ssl.conf and add or modify this lines:

SSLEngine on
SSLCertificateFile /etc/ssl/certs/www_example_com.crt
SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/ssl/private/example.key
SSLCertificateChainFile /etc/ssl/certs/www_example_com.ca-bundle

Now restart apache:

service apache2 restart
